In this painting I’ve abstracted a still life of a vase with flowers. The flowers have been reimagined in a more simple form which allowed me to experiment with colour and a decorative design where the colours and patterns flow into each other in an almost musical way. Abstracting the forms of the vase, table, flowers and background allowed me to focus instead on the power of colour and the decorative elements.
